Welcome to the City of Gallatin, Tennessee’s website. I am Mayor Jo Ann Graves and was elected in November of 2006 as the City’s first female Mayor.
Our City is a diverse and thriving community enjoying unprecedented growth. Our City has a rich history and a very bright future. Gallatin is only 25 minutes from downtown Nashville and is located adjacent to beautiful Old Hickory Lake. Gallatin enjoys lots of recreational activities, a strong community spirit and an excellent educational system. As a city of 25,000 we are blessed with a strong manufacturing base, an array of amenities, and a booming housing market.
I encourage you to learn more about our wonderful City by navigating this website and I personally invite you to come and visit us. Many people like to come in the fall for the turning of the leaves, others in the spring when our landscape is alive with beautiful blooming flowers and trees; others like to come for our mild winter; and of course, others like to come in the summer and take advantage of all our lake has to offer—fishing, skiing, boating, swimming, just to name a few.
