T-shirts and tote bags are available at the Farmers Market. Proceeds go to the non-profit Greater Gallatin which operates the market. |
Greater Gallatin partnered with the City to seek
grant funding for the project. Construction is made possible with a grant
from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture through the Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement

Watch our progress:
(August 5, 2009) Most of the major work is done. Trim work, paving and landscaping remain. Work is on schedule for completion by the end of this month.
(July 28, 2009) The bricks are laid, sidewalks poured, and work nears completion.
(July 7, 2009) The roof is on, walls are up and brick is being laid.

(June 24, 2009) Framing on the new Farmers’ Market began this week. The new market is downtown on Franklin Street near GFD Memorial Boulevard.

(June 12, 2009) The foundation has been poured for the new
Farmers’ Market and the retaining wall is complete. Steel has been ordered and should be going up soon.

(April 30, 2009) – The site has been graded and filled with rock for the base and a retaining wall has been constructed. Both Garver Builders, the contractor on the project, and the City’s Public Works Department are doing construction.
